The timing is just right, at a time when Aam Aadmi is the most common term, this film comes in the middle of the right mood - showing powerful politicians in a bad light and highlighting the problems of a common man. Unlike Salman’s previous films, ‘Jai Ho’ isn’t a typical masala movie. The dialogues are simple and connect well with the audiences. Jai Ho time travels back to the ’80s and delivers an outdated, clichéd and ham-fisted attempt at showing a hero fighting for the common man. Bhai plays Jai, a Hulk Hogan version of Arvind Kejriwal, who fights corrupt politicians, saves damsels in distress; helps injured beggars, amputees write exams; restores kidnapped children to their parents and beats up goons who dare to lay a hand on his sister.Visit Site for more

Finally, the film fails to ennoble itself beyond what the contours of the script holds for it. Lacking the quirky fun of Dabangg or Ek Tha Tiger, Jai Ho simply furthers Salman’s Being Human status. However, it still scores over all of Salman’s works put together for its ability to translate the common man’s simmering anger into a Utopian and satisfying climax. Jai Ho’ is Salman’s attempt at resurrecting another brother’s career. While Salman loyalists might applaud and hoot, and ensure their star remains unaffected at the movie box-office, it’s the other discerning movie-watchers who are left rather disappointed. ‘Jai Ho’ is just a glorious canvas that piggybanks heavily on Salman’s colossal popularity. The story of Jai Ho is far too simplistic to be taken seriously. While it’s laudable that Khan plays the righteous Samaritan, he doesn’t progress beyond the help-each-other-out phase. While the notion that the power of the common man shouldn’t be underestimated is noble in Jai Ho, I wish its makers had also remembered not to underestimate their common sense.Visit Site for more
